Founded by Rose D’Or nominee, creative director Claire Doherty, House Dog is an independent studio based in Bristol. Through House Dog, Claire creates bold, often female-centred stories for specific places and for screen, working across writing, live performance, sound and image. Her projects grow through long-form research and close collaboration—with performers, composers, designers, communities and the histories held by a place.

Still the Hours was House Dog’s first project, conceived with Hampton Court Palace, written and directed by Claire Doherty and co-created with composer James Bulley.

House Dog emerged out of Claire ’s practice as founder director of Situations, the arts producing company, whose projects included the acclaimed, non-stop 552-hour-long Sanctum, Theaster Gates first UK public project, and Future Library, the 100-year literature project for the city of Oslo. Claire was also Creative Director and Executive Producer of GALWAD, a multi-platform project told in real-time over seven days for National Theatre Wales and Sky Arts. The project was a SXSW Innovation Award nominee.
